Six beautifully presented 375ml Bottles of Tasmanian famous fortified wines.
You may ask what is fortified wine?

Fortified Wine is wine to which additional alcohol has been added. The original reason for fortification was to preserve wines, as the higher alcohol level and additional sweetness help to preserve the wine.
HARTZVIEW VINEYARD have a beautiful selection of Fortified Wines.

Raspberry Fortified Wine - 100% raspberries gives an intense raspberry nose, with rich, sweet luscious fruit flavours on the palate, smooth and lingering. This dessert style of fortified wine is delicious on its own or served with mixed berries and ice cream.

Blackcurrant Fortified Wine - made from 100% blackcurrants, this is similar in style to tawny port and particularly popular with men. Deep tawny colour with an intense blackcurrant aroma. Palate is smooth, mouth-filling blackcurrant, exhibiting an excellent balance of matured fruit flavour, with a lingering finish.

Cherry Fortified Wine - four years bottle age gives this dessert port, delightful integrated flavours. Not as heavy as traditional port and a delicious accompaniment to desserts and coffee - especially black forrest cake or mud cake. Fine tawny colour, strong cherry aroma, followed on the palate with cherry fruit, a hint of well integrated oak, and sweet lingering finish.

Blackberry Fortified Wine - made from fresh blackberries grown at the Hartzview Vineyard. Fermented aged and fortified. Brilliant red-ruby colour, intense fresh blackberry aroma. Blackberry flavours increase and are even more dominant on palate, smooth, sweet mouth-filling with delightful length.

Blueberry Fortified Wine - colour is a vibrant deep, mauve, intense blueberry fruit on the nose. Palate is rich, full bodied luscious blueberry fruit integrated with the alcohol, making it a well rounded flavoursome liqueur with a velvety sweet finish.

Tasmanian Cassis - it is made from 100% Tasmanian blackcurrants. Similar in style to the traditional french creme de cassis, intense blackcurrant arome, the palate is very sweet, rich, smooth and full bodied, with long lingering flavours.
It is superb for those who like a very sweet liqueur, or for those who enjoy Kir Royale. Also makes a great liqueur coffee, or can be served on ice, or it is exceptional on fine vanilla ice cream as a dessert.
